1) Peter Ostrum
In 1971, Peter Ostrum was cast as Charlie Bucket in the classic film Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Although he enjoyed shooting the film, he chose not to sign a three year contract. Instead, he returned home to find his family had acquired a horse. He was enamored by the animal and eventually earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. He is now employed as a veterinarian in Lowville, NY.
